Individual & Institutional memberships include the same level of benefits. Individual memberships are owned by the member, while the institutional membership is owned by the school.

Join Us! 

AASSP has enjoyed a unified agreement with NASSP for over twenty years. This agreement requires membership in both state and national associations. While NASSP processes your membership dues AASSP provides personalized membership services for all AASSP/NASSP members.

The AASSP/NASSP membership period begins July 1 each year through June 30th each year. Dues may not be prorated and membership is non-transferable. AASSP members shall make payment directly to the NASSP.

Individual or Institutional Membership
Open to any current Secondary (MS, HS or K-12) Principal, Principal-Teacher, Assistant Principal and other administrator (Superintendent, School District or Statewide Administrator) in Alaska. Individual or Institutional Membership Dues $614.

Individual or Institutional membership includes membership in the Alaska Council of School Administrators (ACSA) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

Individual members receive NASSP publications and NASSP legal and liability coverage. AASSP  members may vote for AASSP board members and also hold AASSP office.

Associate Membership
Open to department heads, teachers, Dean of Students, aspiring principals, other graduate students, professors, and any non-administrators interested in K-12, middle level and high school administration. Associate membership dues $253.

Associate members receive membership in ACSA, but do not receive legal or liability coverage and cannot vote or hold office in AASSP. Membership includes NASSP publications, at additional cost.

Retired Membership
Open to any retired Alaska principal who has previously been a member in NASSP/AASSP. Retired membership dues $104. Secondary Principals moving into an Elementary capacity should maintain a Retired membership with NASSP tp keep legal and liability coverage.

Does not include membership in ACSA. NASSP publications are available at additional cost.
